A dear woman recently told me this: "God does not allow us to go through experiences - good or painful - for us to just sit by and be quiet. He wants us to share; He wants us to be open. - I met my Mr. Wonderful, Colin, our junior year in high school and we dated through college at Texas A&M (WHOOP!). We were married on June 7, 2003 - what an amazing day! After a painful but blessed journey through infertility God led us to grow our family through adoption. And in 2008 we began pursuing adoption through the state foster care system. On March 5, 2009 the Lord entrusted us with one of the greatest gifts of our life - a four day old, beautiful little boy who we named Nate Ryan! I look forward to the journey that God has in store for me and my growing family. I welcome you to join me through this blog. Sit down, fasten up, and hang on for the ride!

It was absolutely wonderful to meet the little man tonight. What an amazing testimony to God's goodness and mercy. As we know all too well with our journeys...God is NEVER surprised, but we often are...and we shouldn't be...He will never withhold any blessings from us. He knew when "boy" (as Maggie calls him now) would be born and that it would be no accident that the geriatric social worker would be working that day! Praise you Jesus.

Okay Jeremy is driving me nuts. He has wanted to come over to your house ever since we saw your blog. I had to tell him no like a million times. We are just SO excited! I can't wait to see you and Colin holding him. The thought makes me tear up. I don't have any more words to express our joy. Love ya!
